I've got a computer on a network that gets 8.5 MBs/30MBs (as tested by DSLreports). Problem is, I don't know what to download (and burn on a cd to transfer to my computer at home).

Any ideas?

No pron, this is a workplace people! (A government one at that).

Be smart and download tons of warez, mp3s. Also make sure to run FTP servers, P2P apps 24/7, etc.

Seed lots and lots of torrents.

Or leech lots and lots of torrents.

Or download entire newsgroups.

It's mega bytes, not bits. 100% sure on that.

Anyway, I can get mp3's from home so it doesn't matter (the other guy here uses Kaaza for mp3's all the time).

I'm not hosting any servers or anything, that wouldn't help me at all.

What are torrents?
Where are good places to go for these large file things?

WTF!? When I worked for the Federal Government, we had incredibly slow internet access. 64kb ISDN for 350 people I believe.

What are torrents? I don't have the ability to serve as a node or do any other ultra-heavy bandwidth type things besides simple downloading.

The reason the connection is so good, is that the computer has sensitive data and cannot be on the same network as other computers.

it's at a state school.
