What can I do to further optimize my system for Seti?

You can click on the link in my sig called "Accelerator" to see my system specs.

What I did to get my rig running Seti@home CLI was to follow the instructions I was directed to. Exactly. My system-wide tweaks to boost overall performance are as follows:

Processor/RAM running at 133/133MHz.
RAM is running at CAS3 but at Turbo speeds with 4-Way Bank Interleave enabled.
Processors optimizations on in the BIOS.
All unnecessary processes turned off.

My current time/WU is 5hrs53mins or something like that. What can I do to bring it down even further without compromising my system's stability?

Thanks for any tips you can give me.

I go through fits where I do that, I have been an overclocker for years now. But most of the time I don't see any real improvements... Maybe Seti@home will... I'll work on that tomorrow. My system is set up for major overclocking, but my RAM is new and I have not ever run it at a higher FSB than 133MHz. We'll see I guess. :) Thanks for the reply.

If you can run your RAM at CAS2, that will prodide a nice boost. Also, if you do overclock, SETI loves FSB speed, so if you can get say an extra 50 MHz from a higher multipler/lower FSB (say 4MHz lower FSB - in my experience, it only takes about 4 MHz FSB speed increase to offset a 50MHz processor speed gain; your mileage may vary though :))), your SETI times will actually be better with the lower speed, because higher FSB speed means higher memory bandwidth, which SETI loves. Also, make sure screensaver is diabled (unless you can't live without it ;)) and the HD shutdown (under power saving options) is disabled.
