What can I do about a weak cable signal?

I have a 6 way splitter on the main cable line into to my house to deliver cable to each major room. I have digital cable and HD channels. These tend to get crappy/blocky/audio skip at random times. Can I buy a high performance/low resistance 6 way splitter? Can I buy a cable booster that will help the digital/HD signal? Where could I buy these?

If you're using passive splitters to get your six signals, it's not surprising that you have signal strength problems. You should consider a combined amplifier/splitter like this.

Good luck.

yes, however you are going to want to make sure it has a passthrough for your digital frequencies, or you could get a digital amplifier but those cost $$$. I don't know how many rooms you are running with HD, but to give them the best possible signal you could use a line tap (they're different from splitters) off of the feed, and run the other analogs through the amp.

:)

Which cable company do you have?
