I just got my new mobo and processor from newegg. I dont know why but whenever I try to install a game a menu pops up saying that the program encountered a problem and needs to close. I tried a lot of games and in all of them it says that. I was able to install one game halo but when I play it kicks me out and says that halo encountered a problem. That many also pops out when I use mozzilla and it closes. How do I take a screen shot and where do I put it to show u guys what it says when I see the error reports. Could it be that the hardware is defective? Can anybody please help?

Sounds like a software issue to me. Try reformatting and installing windows. If that doesn't help then start on other options.

I was able to install halo the first cd rom game and when I play it would kick me out. I tried installing halo in the dvd rom and it would crash before it will start to install. What can be wrong? I checked to make sure everything is connected right, and my dvd rom was working perfectly before I installed my new motherboard and cpu. Can anybody please help? How much would a technician charge me to fix it if, I cannot fix it?

You might have a problem with your memory. Timing or voltage,
or just in the wrong slot(s). Try to run memtest and see what happens.

I runned memtest and everything is fine. I tried reformating and I cant even install windows. Sometimes it says to make sure that the hardrive is connected right and other times it says that the cd may be dirty. I tried to different cds even an original one. What can be wrong? Could it be the motherboard because I don't want to rma it until I find out that its really defective.

Hi Scope004, could you please post your full system specs :) Include the brand and model of your memory modules, and the brand and model of your power supply, and the brand and model of all the other stuff in the system. Details, details :)

Amd 64 3400
lanparty ut nforce 3 250gb
radeon 9800 pro
1 gig pc 3200

I think I kinda found out what the problem is. Before I install the software in the cd or raise my ram to pc 3200 because in outo its pc 2700 it works perfectly. I installed farcry which it never used to let me and it never crashed. right now I installed the motherboard drivers and raised my ram mhz and it does the same problems as before, I got to use my brother computer again lol.
Can anybody tell me what is nvidia gart driver and smBus driver? Do I need them? Maybe they r causing the problem? Because I dont have to install them if I dont want to, but they maybe be important. Does anybody know what they r?

I finally fixed my pc but I still have one problem. When I set my ram to 200mhz, most of the games kick me out and when I put it to 2700 they work fine. I think one of my sticks are messed upl. whats better to use 512 of pc 3200 or 1 gig of pc 2700?
