I'm considering picking up an imac G4 (like this)
and I'm wondering what sort of options there are for cpu, videocard & ram upgrades. I'm guessing they take standard ddr. Do they have agp and can they take cpu's beyond 1ghz?

More RAm can be added but thats about it. The CPU it comes with is what it has. Think of it like a laptop in a funky case and with a good size monitor. Upgrade options are pretty much nill.

You shouldn't guess about iMac components.
If nothing else, pull the thing apart to check parts before ordering.

Don't even count on that, many Mac models have been notoriously picky about the RAM you add to them. Unless you buy new RAM using the Crucial or Kingston memory selectors there's a good chance it won't work.

Like mpilchfamily said, thik of it like a laptop except even more proprietary.
