what can a duron 1.8 do?

thinking about picking up the combo at frys, 1.8 and mobo for $60. think i can go to 166mhz FSB with it?

durons are not known for ocing. they are good chips for basic computer use like word processing, email, surfing the net, playing dvds

Oh yeah they are. I have mine running at 2.3 @ 1.75 Vcore. If asus didn't limit this for durons I could probably get 2.4-2.5. This one rules, if you get one that doesn't hit speeds like this keep on returning until you get it. Since this is at 1.8ghz at 1.5 V, i'd say these are equal to 1.45v tbred b's. So enjoy. 🙂

that's nice!! Almost makes me wanna try that duron. the durons have 128KB L2? i wonder how far the Durons scale.
