what calendar software would you recommend?

Outlook can do all of those things.

all right, I'll give it another try. and take a look at the others.

I fixed my wmp problem, btw... sort of.

Why not palm desktop? You can dl it for free from palm's website. Doesn't require a pda. And has a not too cluttered interface w/ calendar, contacts, todo, and memos.

Seriously Outlook was made for this. It wasn't built just for e-mail. It's an all around tool for business contacts, e-mail etc.

I want something more iCalish too. I love how you can do the time block thing. I need that for college. Too bad there is no emulator. =P

Sunbird, good for free.
Outlook, better if you have a corporate discount.

When paired with an MS Exchange Server, Outlook can do INSANE things. Stuff I never even realized. That doesn't apply to you, but I wasn't a big fan of Outlook and then I got to GE and saw the way it completely dominated everything.
