What cable length for speakers ?

Hello,

I wonder the maximum length of cable I can use on the satelite recievers of FPS 2000. Because of the furniture layout I have to extend some cables as long as 10 metres (~35 feet). Does this create any statics or loss of power ?

As long as you don't twist the cables together, and you use 12guage or thicker, you'll be fine. The standard 12 guage home depot wire at .50/ft works well. Don't go 16guage, especially for 35 feet runs. You're low-powered as is, don't want to increase the resistance more than you need to. As for statics, if you're willing to solder the wires together you'll be good, and / or wrap the wires where they join with multiple layers of electrical tape, you'll minimise any problems. 35ft is far for those speakers though, they may be a bit strained.

Happy listening
