What browser do you use in Windows 10?

I'm on Edge now, but I've been using Pale Moon in Windows 7 and XP for a few years. I know Pale Moon, more or less. Should I refrain from going to Pale Moon in my Win10 installs (I'm brand new to 10 and Edge ... like one day in!)? What do you use and why?

Firefox and Chrome because it's what I've used for forever.

Been trying to use Edge since Chrome is such a pig. Edge is fast and lovely for text rendering but it's still a bit buggy and not fully stable. I tend to go back to Chrome after a while because of it. But Chrome, ugh. So bloated and slow these days. The difference between Edge and Chrome is night in day in terms of performance.

Palemoon works very well on Win 10 too.

There is No known law that is enforced to use only one Brower.

I have active Palemoon and Opera in addition to native IE 11 and Edge.

Palemoon is used for general browsing. There are certain specific activities that are better use on Opera or Edge so I use it accordingly.

Many many years and a long, long time ago, rumors spread that Internet Explorer had security issues or any number of problems.

Some of my family switched to FireFox, heeding the rumors. And I had to midwife their web-pages and book marks or "Favorites" to set them up.

I kept on using IE. I had, over several years, developed this attitude that "if the OS provided it, use it." That is, extra, unnecessary software complicates things in unforeseen ways. And that's just a rule of thumb for me -- like picking a political candidate because he has Orangutan hair. I'm just saying: "Rule of thump."

So along comes Win 10 with "Edge." I feel more comfortable with INternet Explorer for the time being. What are the prospects for that? The same sort of anticipations we had for Windows Media Center?

Don't see what issues with bookmarks from IE to Firefox you could have had. Just export them form IE as HTML and Import them to Firefox ... Also Firefox allows import of bookmarks from most other web browsers very easily. Done correctly, the user will have their bookmarks just as they were in the other browser.

The folks at Microsoft are scratching their heads right now trying to figure out how to get you to start using Edge.

Firefox because it seems the most compatible with some secure sites I access, although Chrome is decent for that too.
Third is actually Internet Explorer, again for website compatibility.

Not Edge. When Win 10 launched, Edge was basically unusable IMO. Unstable, missing features, and incompatible with lots of sites. And now, I just don't care about it. Maybe that will change after the August 2 release of Win 10 though.

BTW, on OS X I used to use Safari primarily, but these days I am using Chrome more and Firefox more. Chrome is still bloated though on OS X too.

I prefer IE 11 for the bookmark system but I'm seeing a lot of issues with it malfunctioning lately and have been turning to FF 47. I use chrome to watch videos on amazon as IE will not function correctly at my current screen resolution, 3440x1400, but chrome and ff do. I have been exporting my IE bookmarks to FF to keep them current just in case I need them and have to use it for class.

You got that right.

Thing is, it has come a long way and is very close to being totally usable. After Aug. 2, we get plugins, ad blocking and more. And reportedly, it's much more stable and refined.

Give it a try eventually.

The Edge was conceived as a Browser for the "Metro" part of Win 10.

Being so it is a Crappola" like all the other Tablets' Browsers.

Then, MS changed their mind and decided that they will build it Up to replace IE11.

They are slowly slowly working on it but it is Not yet there.

I like my Pale Moon. I'm pretty familiar with the basic stuff. I used Firefox for years and Pale Moon is a Firefox (Mozilla) based browser, so was an easy transition, and it's a slimmer version. When I talk to support personnel on the phone they haven't heard of it, is my experience. So what? If something wasn't working in it when I was on Win7 I fired up IE. Transitioned from Win7 to Win10 just this week, will see how my browsing experience goes. So far, Pale Moon behaves fine. I backed up my Win7 Pale Moon with pmbackup.exe before my clean install of Win10. After restoration, it's as if nothing's changed. I'm not comfortable with IE or Edge, they're kind of a black box to me, I'll stick with Pale Moon for general browsing. It seems to get updated almost weekly.
