It states that "EVGA do not support any overclocking as it violates the manufacture warranty."
Interesting, coulda swore there was another recent link saying they encouraged OC'ing, but who knows. Previously my understanding was that BFG and eVGA warrantied OC'd cards as long as you kept it on the driver-level, ie. no BIOS changes/flashes, no physical volt-mods, no changes to the stock heatsink.
Wouldn't surprise me if they flip-flopped on this issue though, seems like they're doing a lot of shady things nowadays. The price of growth and success I suppose, seems they're making promises and statements they're having trouble following up on.
Two recent issues came up that I'm looking into further. One person in Hot Deals mentioned if you cash in on a rebate, you lose 15% of your step-up card value due to the box being damaged. Since everyone who buys EVGA is getting a rebate, that pretty much ensures they're taking 15% off every card turned in for step-up. Another issue I'm awaiting a response on is their rebates. I'm going to give the Rebate contact at EVGA another day or two to reply before I blow the lid on it and look into filing a complaint with the TX Attorney General's Office. I should probably disclose it anyways since I'm pretty sure its going to affect most everyone filing for a rebate with EVGA.
