After seeing the performance of the 9800GTX which I had my heart set on. I changed my mind and want this 3870X2 but do not know the brand.

Anyone know ?

I'm guessing Diamond, then again it looks like an image provided by ATI not the card manufacturers. Looks like reference card, but almost all x2's look the same, just with different stickers.

^ Agreed, reference ATI. I've seen different stickers from ASUS, Powercolor and Sapphire - and a sticker-free X2 from HIS.

Diamonds product is reference. They just put a diamond sticker over the ATI sticker on the blower hub. The cover is transparent red with no "eyes" on it whatsoever. Nice and clean. That one is not a Diamond.

There was a thread here on Anand about a guy building a rig. And he posted a few pictures and one of the pictures was of this exact card.

The pic was two of these for his CrossfireX.

Anyone else see the thread ? I cannot find it now.

Just got my ATi HD 3870 X2.
It has a stickerless translucent red cooler shroud, & oddly enough, the driver discs - came with two identical ...are by Diamond.
Diamond making/packaging the cards for them now perhaps?

Looks like mine except mine was a white box. I never understood the artwork with these video cards.

Nice find, Xpoc - although there's no guarantee that they use the same artwork on retail cards. Still, I prefer the reference cooler (second card listed) to the open, dual fan variation (first card listed).
