I am thinking the title is gonna be
"Human Evolution: Why Human Will Become the Slave of Its Own Creation"
So, I am gonna need some books on evolution for comparing how other species extinct and evolved when they encouter a superior competitors.

Although it's not a book, you could try talkorigins.org.

"Darwin's Dreampond" by somebody. It's more of a case study of cicclids(sp) speciation in Lake Victoria than directly about evolution, but it's a great read and makes you question and differentiate speciation and evolution.

Yeah, Dawkins is THE leading writer on the subject of Evolution, closely followed by Stephen J Gold.

The only thing I can mention (haven't read anything else) is the The Beak of the Finch (won the Pulitzer Prize) which deals with the evolution of finches on the Galapagos Islands.
