I read this book probably a decade ago, and I tried looking it up a couple years ago but you would not believe how many books there are out there named "The Game."
The book I'm thinking of takes place in this futuristic world where society has basically fallen apart and the only thing left is the Game. Those chosen for the Game go to some new world but I can't remember anything past that. It was a great book... *sniff*
