What boards have you (successfully or not) put in CPU's that weren't supported?

I just put a Celeron 600@900 in an Asus P2b rev 1.02, the multiplier only goes up to 8 on the board, same with a Soyo 6BE+, but they both work great! I never did this before, so I'm wondering if this is the case for most boards. Had to use MSI slockets to get the voltage as low as I could, but it still needed 1.8. How about some of those $29 gateway boards on computergeeks, would it work on those? Be one hell of a cheap system to build, then!

Still have a VERY functional ASUS TX97E which started life with a 200mmx Pentium, and still lives and runs OK with a K62-400, Promise Ultra66 controller, a Voodoo3 2000, burner, etc.

The moral is...go with a good MOBO manufacturer!
