What Board to get for an XP2600+ or so

I'm about to build my next rig just wondering what the deal is on the Tbred-B's. i was thinking...

XP2600+ to XP2800+ /333fsb i think.(which ever i can get)
Asus A7N8X
2x 512mb corsair cas2.0 DDR400 for dual ddr

i heard the Tbred-B were unlocked on the Nforce2 by default is that true or was it another mobo? Any Suggestions?

From all I have heard, that is true. The A7N8X is the ultimate board to have for that CPU right now. Actually the deluxe is, with the 6 channel sound and RAID, but thats the 2nd best. 😉

im running that chip (2600) in a epox 8k9a2+.......sweet setup....nice..fast running board....

I have been doing a Lot of checking on new boards and CPU's......And have come up with the SAME combination as you.....But rather than the basic A7N8X I will be getting the Deluxe.....As this will allow for further upgrade of the CPU if I decide to.....And I like the idea of the 6 channel audio......You might want to check around for the best price....As I have found that board for less than $150.....
