Hello trying to decide on a new mother board. What would be the next step up from my Abit IP-35-E. I will either sell the Abit or put it in my spare rig.

Ah P45 in June was not aware. Considering building a crossfire rig. I was looking at the Asus PK5-E. So what is the story with the P45 chip set? Thanks for the info Heidfirst you just may have saved me from a regretable mistake. :Beer for you:

Well the best Intel platform for Crossfire atm is arguably the new X48's- but they're not exactly in the same ballpark price wise as an Abit IP35-E....you may want to wait for a cheaper alternative in the P45's or shell out on a X48.

Yes I was just made aware of the P45 I'm going to wait and see how these guys are. Hopefully they are a step above the P35 chipset at a good vaue.
I just have a hard time shelling out $200+ for a mombo that I replace in a year or two.
BTW what is your 3Dmark score with your crossfire setup?

I haven't heard a release date for P45....but I would assume it's towards the middle/Q3 of this year. I don't know...I don't use 3dmark anymore 😛

ICH10/10R southbridge.

Yeah I guess I need to claifiy I'm a value board user hence why I use abit IP35-E also I like the pro version. The max I want to pay for a board is around $130-$140
