So recently I took a human sexuality course and when we covered contraception we talked about how safe each method was for preventing pregnancy.
Say a condom is 99.9% effective. This doesn't mean that out of every 1000 times a condom is used 999 times the girl doesn't get pregnant. Efficacy statistics for birth control work like this. It actually means that in a given YEAR with couples that use a condom, and use it PERFECTLY, out of 1000 of those couples, 999 will NOT become pregnant, if using a condom every time they have intercourse that year.
(I'm just using a condom in this example, the principle applies to all forms of birth control),
I never knew this before. (waits for all the ATOT virgins to claim they knew this already since they use XXXXXXXXL Magnums and their penis fires so hard it can knock an aircraft out of the sky from 30,000')
