When I intilly boot up I think it says V1.0A, could this be correct? I never done an upgrade before.

When I do upgrade can I go to the latest version or do I have to go in increments V2.0, V2.1.....or can I go straight to 2.4?

Why is there a try at your own risk warning for the special BIOS?

Last but not least what procedure AMI or Award Flash?

1)No your version is not V1.0A
2)You can go directly to 2.4, but I wouldn't recommend 2.4. Use either the special oc'ers bios, or bios 2.2
3)There is a warning because MSI does not officially support this bios
4)Award Flash

If you don't know what you are doing you should read an article about how to do it first, I think Anandtech has one somewhere, if not there are plenty of them out there. Just do a search.

OK I downloaded V2.4 and the special OC Bios also. The special BIOS version doesn't contain the autoexec file but V2.4 does. When I make my bootable floopy can I use the autoexec file from V2.4 with the other files that came with the special BIOS. Or do I not need it?

Why don't they recommend the 2.4 version? I have that one myself and am thinking about switching to the oclockers version

Forouza1, when you flashed is there a way to save your old BIOS in case I screw up or something and if there is how would I reinstall it.

At the MSI site the say to run a:\awfl783m/py/sn/cc/r/ld

Is this how everyone does it?
