Guy's I bought a p3v4x and a compuwiz 700@933.When i go to run it @933 on reboot the monitor stay's yellow.Does that mean my video card can't handle the 133 bus??I've tried it at 1.75 and 1.80 volts, shouldn't that be enough??Steve tested it at 1.75 but on a different setup. What settings on that mb does anyone recommend??
btw-It's a cl sdr w/ tv-out video card and the
ram is bga tiny pc133

thanks for any help:):)

well i have a 700e and a p3v4x......although im having problems getting stable at 933mhz.........the p3v4x is not to fault.

the p3v4x has a auto divider for the agp/pci cards that at 133mhz bus.....the cards will berunning at the right speeds......not overclocked......just set cpu speed to manual and set fsb to 133mhz, check your memory settings ( either cas-2 or cas-3)......thats about it......you seem to know the voltage so.............you should be all set........but believe me........your not overclocking the cards.

icq me if you need more help.......ive been playing around the p3v4x bios alot lately!..... # 40394277

it still won't fire at 933,wonder if it's the sdram/frequency ratio??should that be on auto, i know when you have it on manual @933 your only options are auto,3/4 and 1/1.I've tried cas 2 and cas 3 @ 1.85 volts afraid to go any higher on the voltage, got a golden orb on top!!

bigc, make sure the chip and hsf are making good contact and u have good cooling and thermal paste....otherwise...ur chip just might not work in ur current setup :( contact compuwiz1 on ur dilemma, i'm sure he'd be glad to replace it or fix ur problem.

Hankysmoo,
I got it at 910 right now at 1.80 volts and 130 fsb.Steve said to get a decent slotket, i got a generic from my local comp store, i don't know if thats what's holding it back or what.It has a small bit of thermal paste and a golden orb.If it will run at 910 i'll be happy :):)
That's not to much volts is it???

Funny thing was after i got it running at 910 IE locked up twice and had to reboot!! really wierd.Went into netscape the next time and it's fine hmmm strange!!
thanks guys:):)

I have the same setup (700e on P3v4x and it runs stable at 1008@1.95v). I normally run it at 933@1.75v though. I have an alpha cooler and 5 case fans. My temp never reaches over 100F. I RAM is Crucial pc133 and it is on CAS2. I run at auto for system/sdram frequency and everything else is how it came set up. I had a hard time hitting 933 but after I got the Alpha I ran up to 1008 without a problem. Hope you get it up there.

potac,
man i just sold my alpha:+(
oh well i'm happy at 910 :+)
i only have a golden orb on it, i'm sure my alpha would been a little better.
thanks for the replies :)

1.80 is not to high on the voltage is it??I got 5 case fans in there also!!!

Ok, I checked the hardware monitoring in the bios and the mb temp was 82 and the cpu was 127 is that extremely high??Especially for the cpu??
