Where do I get a BIOS that will not cause problems at boot up? Everytime I boot I get a CPU not working or changed error. Everyone is talking about QN but the latest BIOS for my BX6-2 is QR.

i believe qn is the lastest bios for the bh6, why don't you go to the abit.com.tw home page and just download the newest one? Its plain in english for you to see whats the newest rev for your board.

QR is the latest and is what I'm using on my BX6r2 and C2-566 at 850. If you flashed according to Abit's instructions, then you "loaded the setup defaults" which in the CPU soft menu II is a 233Mhz processor.
Go into the soft menu in your BIOS and tell it you're using a 566 (or select "User Define" and tell it X8.5 for multiplier and FSB speed of 100Mhz if you are going for 850 Mhz). If you get lock-ups, try upping the voltage.

Be sure to DISABLE "speed error hold". I just did this myself with the same board - no problem.

Regarding this board, anybody have any ideas on why, when I push the FSB up past 75MHz, my second hard drive (attached to ATA-33 controller 1) suddenly wipes it's FAT tables?

I am running my Celeron 400 at 450 at the moment and all is fine.

Any higher than this and the drive wipes itself. My ATA-66 drive (on HPT controller 1, containing Windows 2000) is not changed and still boots.

Also, I'm confused with the voltage settings for the board. THe processor voltage defaults to 2.0 - is this too high?

Thanks.
