Hi everyone. Today, January 16th I have bougth the MSI Neo4 Platinum, I am very happy with it..seems to feet perfectly in my plans.

I have a question for the people that has it working. Which is the exacto BIOS that comes with the Motherboard? Is it 7125v1A or 7125v1B? I will be running an Opteron 170 or 175 and in the MSI page they say they support them after v1B, for what I understood... I don't have any other chip to use to update the bios before installing the Opteron, so any help will be greatly appreciated.

I had 19 when I received my board about a 7 weeks ago and I flashed to current before doing anything. I suspect they use the most current bios when shipping (from MSI) so it probably depends on how long your board sat on the shelf. My guess is that it will be at least 1B by now. Put it together and see if it recognized the opy or not.

I only had 1.3, and that was two months ago... 😛 However, your Opty will probably fire up with whichever BIOS the board has, it will not be recognised as an Opty maybe... Flash to the latest BIOS (MSI LiveUpdate is really easy!) and you should be fine...

Any of you having a problem with the availability of the 1T command rate from within the bios "advanced settings" area? I can't see mine and I've flashed several bios revisions. I have even tried the Alt F2 Shift F3 trick for hidden settings and no luck.
