What bike to get?

So I sold my V-Rod, I needed a change and something more practical. I'm looking into a 2013 BMW F800GS. Stuff I will use the bike for:

Riding around town
Riding to Starbucks
Day trips
Coast to Coast
Some basic dirt roads/fire trails in the future maybe...

My budget is around 15 k Canadian. I'd really love the new R 1200 GS with the liquid cooled boxer engine but it's out of my budget

I need a bike!!! I'm already having riding withdrawl, and since I sold my V I've seen tons of them everywhere, it pains me

Also looking at a 2013 KTM 990 Supermoto T comes with hand guards and bags, around 15 k + taxes...

I loved it but I can't afford insurance on 2 bikes, it's crazy expensive here in Ontario. It also wasn't good for long distance, but otherwise, incredible bike.

I saw a used 2008 R1200R for sale recently here in San Diego for around $8k. Considering those sold for around $15k new that's not a bad deal.
