What best controller for PS2?

Which one is the best? Not sure I want to spend 35$ on controller. Looking for good, cheap controller.

best one is the dual shock 2. dont bother with any of the others... you'll be wasting your money

I kinda like the standard Sony Dual Shock 2 controllers... is that the one which costs $35 (surely it can't be - something cheaper in the UK than the US)

I tried the viper2...
It's a tad larger so it fit my hands better.
However, the quality of the analog sticks bothered me so much while playing SSX: Tricky, that i <paused the game> replaced it with the original shock2 and haven't used it since.

Stay with the Sony brand items.

some games can detect and stop certain controllers from working:disgust:
