Yuengling, then some Spaten Optimators with our German feast last night (bratwurst, potato pancakes, red cabbage, fresh pumpernickel bread).

Mmmmmm Optimators
Now that's some good stuff. Had it with some jagerschnitzel a few weeks ago.
God I love jaegerschnitzel. It's too warm for me to eat it right now though. Our meal was pushing it, but we had the craving for some German chow that couldn't be resisted! Can't wait for Oktoberfest at the Haus this year!

Last night I was drinking some Rogue - Dad's Little Helper as I did my fantasy draft. Pretty good, but not their best. I'm waiting for the Double Dead guy Ale to come in to my local beer place as it is supposed to be fantastic.

I have some Yukon Red sitting in the fridge for later this week.

Tomorrow maybe some more Mendocino White Ale. Very tasty stuff.

What is it exactly that makes Anheuser-Busch a sham?

Is it because they sell the most popular beers?

Do you avoid Coca-cola also?

They import and distribute several of the favorites that people have listed here. And obviously, they are the top selling brand by far.

Is it just your desire to feel like you're unique, does that make the company a sham?

If you love beer and ever have a chance to try Bells Beer do it. :) My favorite beer money can buy is their Amber Ale. I've tried lots of their different brands and have never been unhappy. Here is a list of what they make:

http://www.bellsbeer.com/index.php/brands.html

My coworker is a big hop guy, I got him a 6 pack of their 'Hop Slam' and he was pretty impressed. But, at $13.99 a six pack, it better be pretty good...

Bell's is an awesome beer. The owner just recently was able to sell it in Illinoise again. ( i live in arizona, so no luck).

There Oberon is some of the best summer beer you can buy. and their hopslam.. mmmmm..... so good. There whole list of beer is awesome, can't go wrong really.

I wish I would have saved a Batch 6000 instead of drinking it when I was already pretty lit on their beer.

I've been on a big Left Hand kick lately so I'll probably pick up either the mixed 12 pack or some Sawtooth.

BTW, for all of you Newcastle lovers who refuse to branch out, I used to be YOU! Go try some other stuff... there are some very very good browns out there. Try Samuel Smith's Nut Brown for starters.

It's all about the Victory Golden Monkey this weekend. Probably not much else, but I'm sure we'll put down a couple of bottles of wine as well.
