Why - because to some people, a beer is really is a beer. I love all beer and can't afford to be choosy. Last night at the bar, I asked what was on special and had a few of those. I'm just not picky when it comes to beer. When I buy a case, I usually get Carling or something else cheap. If I am going to have company I'll get something better like Keith's or Moosehead :beer:Originally posted by: Fingolfin269

But why? Have you even given some of the good brands (and I'm not talking entry level imports) a shot? Have you ever had any of the several Rogue flavors?
Listen, I'm a beer snob. But I can drink Keystone light just as much as the next guy. I just know it doesn't taste near as good.![]()

I think ATOT should be known as one of the internet homes of not only the beer snob, but the beer NERD. the BN is quite prevalent here. there should be BSDs handed out here - Beer Snob Degrees.

Coors light. Just because I already have some. They didn't have what I wanted last time I went in, and I was in a hurry.
You'll graduate from training beer one of these days.
i dont like beer, really, but my dad didnt get it when i said his "budweiser select" tasted like funky water.
im pretty sure its actually funky water.
/rum is where its at
Budweiser Select is not what beer tastes like, neither is Miller or Coors.

I'm jealous of those bottles of Jah-va, I bought one and loved it .. haven't found anymore to buy since. We had the un-earthly on tap at work a bit back and have the uber sun on now - can't say I cared too too much for either. Definitely a Weyerbacher fan as my home isn't too far from the brewery (love their pumpkin ale)
Personally, we got a new beer order in at work and I grabbed for bottles for now.
Nils Oscar IRS (Sweden)
Haand Norse Porter (Norway)
Nogne Stout (Norway)
Meantime London Porter (England)
We got like 5-6 Scandinavian beers in and I'm excited to try those .. as I'm not sure how often I'll find 'em.

I'm with you man an Ice Cold 24. oz miller lite/bud light/coors light can when you are super hot can be the best thing ever. to Pound a thick and hoppy microbrew just doesn't have the same effect in that situation
I consider myself a beer snob because I won't touch most domestic macros (unless I'm playing drinking games) and I was thinking about why the other day. I guess I decided I drink beer not with the primary goal get drunk (unless I'm participating in the aforementioned drinking games), but to enjoy the taste. And really, the taste in miller/coors/bud/etc. is practically non-existent so why drink it (for me)? If it's a hot day and I want to cool down, I'll just grab some ice water or maybe iced tea .. beer doesn't help one cool down .. it has alcohol in it![]()

I am a certified beer snob; I have a card and T-Shirt that prove it. This is 100% true; for my birthday, my friend got me a membership to a beer snob society in Oregon. Booyah.
As for this weekend, I'll be sticking to the summer ales. Bridgeport Haymaker is a delicious Extra Pale, highly drinkable; I haven't met a single person who dislikes it. I'll probably end up with some German Weissbier too; I would say Franziskaner, but the last batch I got was skunky (probably mishandled en route), so I'll go for the Weihenstephaner. A nice Belgian trippel might go over well too. And, in honor of the 4th, I'm pretty sure I'll end up at a barbecue with some authentic homebrew, thereby supporting good old fashioned American craftsmanship.
 Cheers!
