Whenever I have the time. Li-Ion batteries don't really care. I know there are purists who will say otherwise, but that's how I do it. Phone is usually anywhere from 30-50% when I charge, and my Nexus 7 is usually 50%. Don't let them get much below 25%, as that isn't too good for them.
Yea charge em when ever you want. They don't have memory issues. Memory is not to be confused with natural lithium ion degradation which just happens over time.
There is no magic percent when you should plug in your phone. If my phone needs a charge, and I'm not going to be near an outlet, I'll plug in. For my daily charge, rather than plug in my phone at night, I typically charge at home/work when I'm using my computer.
Imo, a battery is best served by slow charging, and short stroking the cycles(≤500ma, >30/<90). I've been using my phone a lot more lately, so I charge when I can. I charge at 30, and leave it on til it's filled usually.
I charge at night using 0.5A charger and during the day with a 2A charger. My phone has a 4,000mAh battery that I charge regardless of percentage until 100 %
Since I rarely have to leave the house it doesn't matter to me, sometimes I go below 10% sometimes I'll do it at 30%. If I know I'm going out I will charge it if it's below 50%.
I usually just plug it in at the end of the day regardless of where it's at. Modern devices load balance the battery usage so that you're not ruining it by not fully depleting it before charging.
Either once a day or every other day. I use my phone as my alarm clock so I plug it in to charge when I go to bed and unplug it when I get up. There isn't an issue of over charging as any modern phone has the smarts to stop charging when fully charged.
My current phone SGNote4 has a better battery than my previous phone the HTC One and I almost always have over 35% and usually have over 50% charge when I plug it in when going to bed.
I plug mine in pretty much constantly. Between my car, my nightstand, my kitchen counter and my desk at work I'd guess that my iPhone 6 spends more time plugged in than not.
My iPhone 4 seems like magic. Most days I set the alarm after going to bed and the battery is still like 92%. Never seen it go below 50% after a day of use.
