What B&M stores carry 24" IDE cables???

Most stores like CompUSA and Best Buy don't carry IDE cables. Try an actual computer parts store; they usually have them.

Oh my god!!..I was just checking the CompUSA site and found an 18" 80pin IDE cable. How much you ask? $29.99!!!! What in the hell are these guys smoking???

I did find an 80pin 28" IDE cable at the Radio Shack site for $6.99 it says that it is available in-store. I'll have to go out tomorrow and get one.

I still can't believe CompUSA has the nerve to charge $29.99 for and IDE cable.

Yeah, and Best Buy charges $40 to install a CD-ROM. I can kind of understand $40 for a video card or sound card since you'll have to deal with drivers and compatibility, but $40 for a CD-ROM is ridiculous. Just set the jumper, plug in the IDE cable and power cable, and go. If only the general public knew how bad they were getting ripped off.....
