SoundStorm + Logitech Z640s

I live in an apartment and the noise travels well between walls... so a low powered system is good enough :)

as shown in my rig profile...
chaintech AV-710 / Hoontech DSP24 -> DIY ZEN -> HD580 /w cable upgrades + CD3000
my Fisher 400 should arrive in mail soon... AOS Piccolo DAC is getting ready to be shipped from canada :D
i am gonna see how well the new ESI card stacks up against EMU1212.... might upgrade the soundcard if it turns out really worth it...

oh yeah, i use midiland S2-4100s also. does anyone remember these? they were the thing to get back in the days, still miles ahead of kilpsch stuff for 2channel music :)

V System rig page V

Front (main)

Front (all)

Left and rear

Right and rear

Burnt CD decoration

As you can see the rear speakers are ghetto-rigged to the sides of the closet with 2 strings of 4-pound test fishing line. Yeah I didn't think it would work for too long either, but it's been doing the job for over a year now.

As with the CD, I just thought it looked cool, and with gullible people I tell them that's what happens to CD-RWs when you rewrite them too much. (It was done with a propane torch).

Yeah I'm leaning towards the Klipsch 5.1 Ultras personally. I like music, but I want gaming sound so I am also trying to decide which soundcard to get at the moment as well.

Creative Audigy2 ZS to Yamaha RX-V530 receiver, Speakers are Energy Take 5.2 (with matching S8.2 sub). Connections are both 6-channel analog outs (from Audigy to 5.1 direct inputs of the Yamaha) and digital (coax out from Audigy to coax in of the receiver). For gaming, I use the analog outs, movies and music I use the digital out.

Soundstorm and Logitech Z3s. It's good enough for the office, any more and the wife would complain. :)

Asus A7n8x Deluxe's onboard Soundstorm + Altec Lansing 251 5.1 Amplified 6-Piece Speaker System

Cheap but effective.

EDIT: I'll be living in a dorm soon so I can't even crank this up high anyhow. Even in my house now I'd make people angry with loud music/games.

I guess I need to invest in GOOD headphones.

Creative Audigy 2 ZS + Altec Lansing ATP-3's. The subwoofer is a big as it gets for the under $100 range, the 6" sub pumps out awesome bass when placed correctly, like a corner.
