I think newegg made a mistake.

I purchased a AMD Athlon XP Barton 3000+ 400 FSB and got what I believe is AMD Mobile Athlon XP 2600+ 266 MHz FSB

Here's why, my chips stepping is IQYHA 0423 and it's a tan color, the correct one is green. Also WCPUID shows 1746 clock, the L2 is 512 like it should be. The system bus is 333.

I'm lost here, can someone help? What processor do I have?

Try setting FSB to 200 in the bios. That should fix your problem. 🙂

Remember my CPU is tan not green, isnt that a problem?

CPUZ shows AMD Athlon XP 300+ (after I changed the BIOS) code name Barton. So I guess it's right...right? Just cant figure out why my CPU is tan and not green, and if I google the stepping IQYHA I get alot of different answers?

Don't worry about the color of the chip. If you're at 10.5 x 200 you have a 3000+. 🙂

Did you check the markings on the chip before you installed it?
