I've seen no valid study showing expensive boutique vitamins are better than name brand, mainstream multivitamins.
Anyone have one?

A multi-vitamin/mineral supplement is probably a good idea, but supplements that claim to do anything are junk in my eyes.

If I were, is that the sort of tablets I should be looking for?

what do you call a *valid study* ... the FDA approved Vitamin Co manufacturer's "study"?
if i remember your views from before, i don't think God could set up a valid enough study for you![]()
and there are *many factors* ... one of them being how well your body absorbs them ... which can vary from individual to individual even among a totally healthy population
Food sources are *best*

many magnesium supplements are derived from limestone ... how well do you think that is absorbed?
and seriously ... what 'works' for you
if you don' feel any better over time then you probably don't *need* it

WTF???
I'm not debating. I asked a valid question and you attacked me.
Please explain what is wrong with asking for valid scientific proof of something?

i am not *new* here

i am done debating with you and i will NOT be lured back into an endless discussion ... i already know your views ... have you forgotten mine?
i just posted my personal experience and my advice to the OP - to 'try' different formulations and save money by trying the smallest
that's 'all'

What kind of medical trials do you need? There are countless medical conditions that result in malnutrition, and supplements of some form are absolutely necessary. This could be anything from inflammatory bowel diseases, anemia, Celiac's disease (sometimes related), fructose intolerance, etc. etc.
That said, I do think there is a serious misconception about nutrition in America; I can't speak for other countries. The notion that everyone should supplement is more about successful marketing than successful science, imo.

OK, but my question still stands. I'm not debating anything.
All I'm asking for is valid medical trials with vitamin supplements. I'm sure there are quite a few people with more knowledge in this area than me.
