What are your Top 3 suppliments for working out?

1. Whey protein shakes - can't live without them, must have 3 a day
2. Creatine - THE best suppliment for making good quick gains
3. ? - dont' really have one but if I have to pick 3 I'd say dextrose/maltodextrin

1. Protein :Whey after workout and casien(egg) for lunch, and whey again near the end of the day
2. Creatine: taken before workout 5g, and a small spoon full taken with protein after workout
3. Arginine: also known as NO2, or Nitric Oxide, helps deliver nutrients to muscles and gives you a much better pump than creatine

and topped off with alot of water, and good whole wheat carbs throughout the day

foods are drugs too... why do you feel the need to eat egg whites instead of fruit loops? because it has a different effect on your body... just like the other supplements do...

actually i'd argue the inverse, that neither are drugs, just simply supplements

I don't use suppliments anymore. But ever since i stopped taking creating I dropped 10 lbs off my weight and 40 lbs off my bench press.

Well, sometimes before I dip the Twinkie in bacon fat and scoop some Crisco on top of it, I'll cut it open and slap a hot dog in it and put some Velveeta or EZ Cheese on top first, does that count?

sounds like the meal of champions.....and you can take the left overs and mix them in a bowl with copious amounts of mayonaise and bacon bits .....have yourself some soup!!!

do a google, and i can personally verify the results. i have taken all of them in my day, including the illegal stuff (which I do not recommend for anyone, they are not worth the health risks)


creatine is good, eat well, and keep your aminos and fatty acids up to spec and you should make great gains with having 8 hours minimum of rest.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Glutimine or L-Glutamine. I've heard this is also a very good supplement. I might be interested in Flaxseed oil, multi-vitamin, and/or Glutamine...but 1) I'm not informed enough 2) It still won't make up for my lack of time working out so until I"m pumping iron 5+ times a week, I might as well not waste my money :)

Creatine, Whey, and glucosatatory crystals (dextrose). Next would be caffeine/aspirin to augment the workout. I was a bodybuilder for 10 years :)

Interesting, I was talking to toekramp about supplements this morning.

I don't use any except 1 or 2 protein bars (as I don't have time to cook/or prepare shakes during the day).

Its pointless to consume too much protein because your body can digest around 30 grams of protein in 2 hours. This number changes person to person so your's maybe different.

I also don't take creatine because long-term effects are unknown. Yeah, it has been around for 15-20 years but who knows what's gonna happen to your kidneys in 30-40 years? Plus, you get lots of creatine by consuming protein anyways, so I don't see the need for it. It also gets you to look bloated and gives you fake strength which will disappear once you stop taking it.

My top 3 suppements:

1. Multivitamin
2. Laura's 4% Lean Beef (100 grams of protein in 1/2 lbs package and 540 calories) for $4.99
3. Chicken Breast
