What are your thoughts on Enermax Galaxy Evo 1250W

I got it from ebay. Seller accepted my offer of $130. Also it didn't come with a power cable. So far running good, I was finally able to OC my cards. The fan does get loud and the PSU does get warm to touch but only when fully loaded. Haven't yet checked how much power is it pulling from the wall.

I didn't think to look back that far. They are decent PSUs. I have the Revo 950w model which is also around the same year as yours. After reading the Voltage Regulation, and Ripple Suppression I'd say it's decent IMO.

Does the PSU make a whining noise?

Yes very faintly

Hmm. I must of lucked out on both my PSUs..

Yesterday I returned a Seasonic Platinum 660w XP2. The whining was very faint and some-how linked by the 5v rail, but the real deal breaker was the short cables. All the Seasonic's cables were too short for my 800D case. The Enermax is a beautiful PSU and fits nicely in it. But one thing though is I had to get 12v CPU extension cables to make them reach.
