Not to be a beyotch, but if you click "Search" above and type "hosting", you'll get all the answers. I just did.

Good luck.

LOL... You mean, that huge [x] Report Form he has? :)
Tech support at Ripplehost is a forum - period. For $5 you get a lot, but tech support isn't part of the deal.

Honestly, I like ripplehost for what it is. Very cheap and fast hosting (only $5/year). Going to give a gift of a web domain and web hosting to a friend as a birth gift using this deal.

Have you used either of these? How are they? Is your info secure?

First, it's http://www.addaction.net

Second, both are fairly reliable.

If you want to up your ante to $13.50 a month I would HIGHLY recommend http://www.dathorn.com.

They have unparalleled speed and service plus AWESOME features -- namely, personalized nameservers, WHM an cPanel, and a host of other goodies.

Yes - both. Ripplehost is fast and so far I have had nothing but good experience. My brother has a addaction account and feels the same way.

As far as security is concerned, I have not a clue.

Hell, like he will ever know how much it cost me or whatever. At least not until it's all said and done. I have gone through all the effort. I have thought up the domain name. I have purchased the name for $8 at godaddy. This is alot of effort. :p

Adaction - cheap and actually has tech support!

I could debate this claim fairly easily. It has taken two emails to addaction, but they actually solved half of my problem! I am hoping the next solves the other half :) I shouldn't rag on them too bad, they are probably no worse that what is out there which is: Submit a ticket, get a canned response, throw it back, get a semi-reasonable response, throw it back threatening to get upset, and finally get someone who has actually read the email and responds with a good answer. But, you get what you pay for and if I expected awesome tech support I guess I should be willing to pay more than I do.

Sorry people I was sleeping (sick today), sheesh I gotta have some life you know!

JudistPriest - My personal vote is to go with AddAction.net they're very hard to beat if you want reliable, fast, excellent value and good tech support.

But don't take my word for it, go to WebHostingTalk.com which is the AT of webhosting (whoa!) and search for AddAction or just browse through their special offers forums.

One piece of advice I have to offer is, price is not everything. There's a lot more to a webhost than just price. Think about that when you see a $2.95/mo webhost :)
