What are your plans for the 4th of July?

I think it's a little to late for me to plan a romantic weekend getaway. *sigh* Does anyone know of a good place to watch fireworks in the LA area on July 4, or have suggestions of other things to do? Thanks!

I'm going with the folks to Elko, Nevada, where there is one helluva Basque festival. It's good, rural-tacular fun. And you can't beat 1½-inch thick T-bones.

Probably the same thing I did on Memorial Day: Go to the in-laws house, drink beer, play horseshoes with my wife's cousins, get the living fsck stung out of me by fire ants in the horseshoe pit, drink more beer, eat barbecue for dinner, drink more beer, get my wife to drive my drunk smelly ass home and pass out. 😉

To the OP: Huntington Beach is suppose to have a really nice fireworks display this year. They're firing from a barge off-shore. The one they have at Marina Del Rey is pretty nice as well.
