I've only seen a couple but I enjoyed Mike Rowe's talk, mostly because I'm a fan of his and he is very articulate with great diction.

This is still the first one that comes to mind for me.

I'm going to watch the ones in the OP.

I can't name any by name but most are too long. It is like they give every one 20 minutes and they are encouraged to use it all. They should give people 10 at most. Try big think, a lot more concise.

I really like the one on the Washing Machine as the greatest invention of the industrial revolution, by Hans Rosling:

Amazing story. We take so much for granted. My dad was telling me about his family trips as a kid, how it'd sometime take weeks to go from one side of the US to the other by car because there wasn't an interstate, just backroads...I know it sounds naive, but I had never even thought about the fact that at one time the country didn't have the road system we have now and never even think about. Now you can fly from NYC to LA in 6 hours. Eat lunch and you're there!

That was a really good one. Thanks.

How sad. I wish they were longer. Perhaps kids shows like cartoons would be more to your liking.

No but if you have young kids (like I do), you don't have tons of time to watch the 20 minute version when in many cases, five would have been sufficient. I have seen dozens of them and that was my conclusion.

I like a lot of them, but this is the one I actually have referenced in talking to people. Other than being a great speaker, he makes a very good point about the lack of skilled labor in this country.
