I just pulled out the SNES. I started playing all those old games again, FF2/3, Metal Marines (i forgot how sweet that game was), blades of steel... man i miss the old days.

I also busted out the Genesis for th two games I love, Herzog Zewi and General Chaos. :)

So what are your favorites?

SNES old shool? I was thinking atari 2600. I do still have my atari 800 and play star raiders and wizard of wor occasionally. Then there is my trusty amiga which I may boot up when I get home now that I think about it.

Ralstan at the arcade.

After feeding it quarters for a summer I was able to go from start to finish on one quarter, I was really proud of that!

Here go my old school classics by system:

Atari 2600 = Hide And Seek
NES = Zelda
Sega Master System = Rocky
Sega Genesis = Madden 94 or 95
SNES = SUPER MARIO KART - hands down, best game on SNES (Zelda ownz too! I think I'm gonna break out my SNES!)
Sega CD = not too many great games, but Night Trap due to the controversy :)

I think that is as far back as old school I can get ...

As far as my favorite old school arcade game (keep in mind I'm only 20) ... I would have to say what I have here in my basement :) (P.S. CHeck out what game is in there, its not whats on the cab ... although close)

It's "Rastan".. :)

My favorite coin-op was Stargate.. I played that until I had blisters. That and SkyShark were the only two I was any good at.

Consoles? I was addicted to Dragon Warrior for NES...

They made blades of steel for the snes? I thought only NES and N64.

Anyways, my favorite RPG was Phantasy Star 3 for genesis... I loved Zelda for Snes and NES. And who can forget "Miner 2049er" for the Atari? That game was so much fun. Boulder Dash was awesome too... (for atari) It'd be sweet if they ported that to something else.

To me, oldschool means NES or earlier.

My #1 -- NES: Tecmo Super Bowl. (Nothing else comes close IMO.)

My #2 -- Atari: Kaboom!
