hmm make sure to be at least 5 feet away from anything 17' or bigger, or you get nearsighted and have to wear glasses.

ummm....what? 5 feet from a 19" monitor will make you have to squint your eyes unless you run 640x480 resolution.

I've bought a refurbished laptop HD, Sony digicam, logitech wireless KB & mouse, and never had a problem with any of them. Which refurb MP3 player are you looking at? The Nomad II? I know several people who've bought those refurbs from Creative and never had a problem.

I bought a refurbed Maxtor drive a while back during the 2gig days and I did have a clinking problem with it about a year later. I called up Maxtor and even after telling them it was a refurb, they were going to honor their "no quibble" service and they sent me a 6 gigger since 2gig drivers were out of style. :D

That's been my only refurb purchase but I doubt anyone'll get the same service, especially during today's industry. :(
