Writing an algorithm in Matlab to memory map and parse super commutated PCM rocket telemetry saved in binary files so that the data doesn't have to be converted/saved as MAT files thus reducing analysis time and saving disk space.

Business loan for myself.
Best of luck.

I called the SBA when I wanted to open another office. There was a report that I read that said there was a bazillion $$ for non traditional borrowers, like me. They didn't come out and say exactly why but I didn't fit any of their programs. But they'd be happy to be the go between with a bank. I already have good relations with 2 banks and they told me the SBA was a pain in their ass and would be a hindrance.

Basically, my business doesn't have any assets so banks won't lend to the business. 500 contracts with people averaging 500 on their fico doesn't count. Wonder why?:)

/weak rant

Again, best of.

Thanks.

This is a startup for a franchise that is on the good guy, we want to lend to them list at the SBA.

I'm also dealing with a bank in the area that's a preferred lender for the SBA. They also are doing over ten times as much in loans (in dollar amounts which may or not mean anything in my case) as the next closest preferred lender.

The good news is that I don't need the money. The SBA rate beats the lease rate on equipment I need through the franchises preferred lender. That rate is affordable, but the SBA rate, being lower, is better for the obvious reasons.

I think the key is to work through a preferred bank but if your business is not on the good guy list, you're pretty much SOL right out of the gate. The whole process is quite political. As you've learned, the .gov is really good at making glorious proclamations but reality is quite different.

Having said all that, I've been turned down at one bank already. This time I'm trying with the top dogs. We shall see...

Right now? Nothing. I've been working 445-1130 and going to school for four hours every weekday for the last two weeks. I'm relaxing, but going to hit the treadmill in a few minutes. :p

I'm about to start my Multivariable Calculus, Differential Equations, and Technical Writing classes next week. I still have to do my Sociology 101 take home exam by next Friday.

At work I'm getting in my hours for my yearly Face-Palm Black Belt certification.

Hope that covers all of the bases.

Trying to figure out how many days I want to take off this coming week.

Spent 2 weeks of vacation taking classes for my master's, the past week plus today doing all day stuff. I am drained. And I still have an exam and 2 projects to do.

Also thinking about quitting my job. Boo ya!
