What are you using to record lectures (or whatever)?

Starting to find myself needing one. This prof, doesn't lecture on the book but tests on both :)

This one looks pretty good

Just wanted to see if someone had better suggestions, I've never looked at these before... I find myself surprised that you can even buy one without a usb port but it looks like that's a feature you have to pay more for...

Thoughts, suggestions..

TIA

That one's fine. But quite expensive. If you go to walmart they sell voice recorders with 256 or even higher for cheaper then that. You probably should get an Ipod or just a standard MP3 player. Most of them have mics in them so you can record and try to get one with a SD card. You can get like 3 or 4 16mb cards for dirt cheap (10.00 bucks) and have one for each class.

Looks like $30 for recorder, $60 for recorder with usb... I've not seen one with removable sd, which would work, as long as it was standard mp3 format....

Link?

I have a 1 hour commute every day... and an aux in on my head unit....
I have 15 or so gigs of mp3s but ususally listen to NPR on my drive, I figure I'll just replace NPR with class stuff to reinforce the lectures.

Neat, I think I've recalled seeing something like that. Good for meetings, lectures, and stuff like that.

I remember back in the day I used to use those microcasette recorders you know 30mins on each side. The quality was shit and they were kind of expensive. I remember paying 50 bucks for a metal one.
