I'm a saver, but every once in a while I'll have an impulse buy. Right now I'm saving for a house though. Time to get out of the 'rents house. I just hate subdivisions so this saving is taking a while.

I don't save money. I may be killed randomly at any time; if I go out with money in my bank account, it just means I didn't enjoy as many things in life as I could have. Which is not to say I don't have a good chunk of change in my bank account now, mind you, just that I'm not focused on living frugally to ensure some future happiness when I don't know if I'll even live that long. Life is too short to continually prolong immediate gratification.

We mostly save, but sometimes impulse gets the best of us.

Toys-wise: I'm saving for a macbook and a new dslr.

However, they're always getting pushed back for the sake of unexpected costs like: dental work, car repair, home repair, etc... :(

Best of the worst is still best at something, I guess. There's some pretty stiff competition.

PS - I can also include a hi-fi video cassette recorder. I promise I'm not just trying to clear out my basement, these are all valuable collector's items!

Nothing really, I could buy all the trivial stuff that I "want" right now, but no need.

Trip to the Philippines with a group of friends. Going to throw the ticket and hotel on my cc and pay it off with my 09 tax return. I'm been saving $50 a paycheck for a long time, that will be my fun money.

A life in Europe or South America. Which probably means an education better than I'll get in the U.S.
Until then, Xmas presents for the family. I'm gonna get mom a Culligan water filter under her kitchen sink. Also a faucet that goes way up and points down, so she can fill a big pot or water jug right there in the sink.

Little cousins: Legos or something similar. My uncle already made it clear he does not want them to have GI Joes or toy guns or anything that stimulates their violent side. Given all the 80's action stuff thats making a comeback, thats going to be a challenge.

Female cousins: Perfume or jewlery, I'm not sure. I guess I should ask my aunt for ideas.

And thats it. Everyone else has to fend for themselves. Close friends will be invited a Christmas party. If they turn it down thats their choice.
