Do most of you guys impulse buy all the time or save up for stuff?

What do you have on the horizon?

I'm a saver. In the next few years, I'm looking at getting laser eye surgery, and doing a work term abroad (probably Ireland or Australia).

Saver....thinking of moving to the coast in California...but want to keep my house in SC as a rental...so that will require a big down payment to buy (will rent myself at first).

You're saving to get me an awesome present. Probably an awesome TV.

I have a totally bitchin' CRT you can have. I bet I can still find the remote, too! It sports a luxurious 63.5cm screen and stereo sound!

i save for everything. i hate buying on credit.

last big thing i got was my TV 2 years ago or so (took me 5 years!). now im saving for a new rideing lawn mower. i don't need one but i hate the one i have and want a Zero turn one. figure to save $2500-3000 for it. should take me 2-3 years.

another thing im saving for is a nice table saw and band saw. Also saving to build a nice workshop in the back of the property.

Even on my "impulse" buys I still do the research. I guess an impulse buy for me is when I find something > $100, put in some time doing research for the best price, then buy it that day.

Neither. Not an impulse buyer, but not a saver. I have everything I plan to buy on lists, and those items get researched, and as I get money, I get stuff off my lists.

Make money to spend money.
