Playing Tunic right now. Very good game. Can at times get stuck on where to go. I have mostly resisted looking up guides as part of the gameplay is actually finding the pieces of the instruction manual for the game. I still don't quite know what some of the items I have actually do as most of the instructions are in the gameworld's language.

Just finished the Phantom Liberty DLC for Cyberpunk. After replaying through the main story again, my biggest complaint with the game (aside from the ongoing bugs) is how badly the gameplay loop offsets the incredible story and voice acting. The combat isn't anything special regardless of which build you choose and it becomes incredibly "samey" long before you hit max level. For this run though, I wanted to get everything done possible because I don't foresee me playing the game again which ended up being an 88 hour run with me hitting max street cred before the first Arasaka job with Jackie and then hitting max level shortly after. I will say that the DLC didn't disappoint with the story or the voice acting in the slightest and I still feel like a piece of shit for how the ending went down.

Still, with the boring combat and the endless extra content loop from the DLC, the story is still one of the best of any game I've ever played and it's good enough it definitely overshadows everything negative about the game. I did get hit with the annoying bug where holo calls straight up stopped working which put me at a standstill for about five days until I figured out a solution but that just gave me time to revisit Hades again in the meantime. Now onward to another Mount & Blade Bannerlord run.

You can do it from an existing save, start a new game and work your way up to it organically through the story, or just start off right at the DLC. Your choice. It has a completely separate storyline that takes place all in Dogtown near Pacifica.

Also, I did load my old 1.6 save a few times while trying to fix my holo call bugs and all it did was reset my skill points and my clothing was removed. The major changes that came with 2.0 is that the entire skill tree was redesigned and only a handful of clothing actually grants you any bonuses and the ones that do are very minor bonuses. Story wise, I would suggest you either start over from the beginning or just load an old save, redo your skill points, throw together an outfit, and then go do the DLC. I've heard you can also start the DLC at any point during a new save by simply driving up to the stadium, but I just waited until I got the phone call.

I have a lot of saves at key points in the main story, but with the old leveling system, including the Nocturne "point of no return" save. I'll use that and just upskill manually.

So i have a love hate relationship with the first descendant.

Its very grindy, but the game mechanics is fun and fast... it reminds me of anthem, with destiny, and a bit of vindictus.
The game is extremely cash shop friendly... it has a lot of time of convince items... basically stuff that lets you bypass time games, and some of the very nicer skins are super expensive.

But again, the game has interesting mechanics, and its fun when you got a good coordinated team.
The entire map is solo-able, or you can do it with a team.

The combat looks SO SLOW. I saw this advertised a long time ago on Reddit to Tarkov players because it's essentially the same thing but in medieval format and from what I remember, it honestly doesn't look much different from the alpha content that was showcased back then. It's definitely going to be sitting on my "let's see what this game looks like in a few more years" shelf.

this is a first person FPS and really, only the gameplay will tell if it's any good. Because if the gameplay isn't challenging, then there is no reason to play. And you either have high-focus games like Vermintide (not terribly difficult, but lots of long combat that can wear you out) or high-skill like Quake (short but *very* high-skill), and if it's neither of these, then it's shit. Or IDK, but we'll see, my money is on shit.

Spiderman Remastered to enjoy the awe of scaling a whole city and just perching on the highest building and looking down is awesome. (The combat I can't say good things about because it's NOT easy, at least for me).

Miles Morales has better ray traced reflections. The RT shadows I cant' really tell, maybe this old TVs fault, but I have them maxed since both my 7900XTX and 7800XT can handle them well enough. With the 7800XT I use frame gen though.

The combat gets a lot easier as you fill out your skill trees, gadgets, and suit perks. Until then, timing on the dodge and knowing your counter windows helps a lot. It has been years since I played on anything but playthrough+ so can't remember much about being meh spiderman instead of amazing, spectacular, or ultimate.

I was doing fine until I had to fight multiple boss villains (I think that was the part where Doc Octo assembles them) in the air. Died multiple times in about an hour. It seemed futile and I no longer have a kid's tenacity to keep going so that was it for me

1. Finally started playing RDR2 properly. Many yrs ago I played it all weird using Stadia (terrible graphics) + keyboard. Now I'm maxing the game with my new rig (see sig) on a huge 32" monitor. I probably posted the same thing not too long ago, but man this game is gorgeous. The controller is just amazing (Xbox) and brings the whole game alive. I'm actually looking forward to going fishing in the game tonight and grab a beer IRL.

I'm running it maxed in 1440p at 2.25x DLDSR (4K+ textures) with DLSS Quality which turns this game into a wild wild west simulator. I get about 92 fps avg per its benchmark. This is perfect since the 1% lows are at 60-65 fps, making this game butterrrryyyy smooth.

Can't believe it takes top of the line CPU + 4080S just to achieve 90 fps on an aging game.

2. Cyberpunk plays nice, but I'm too sucked into RDR2 at the moment.

3. Overwatch plays well when I'm craving some competitive and sweaty strategic multiplayer.

4. Elden Ring DLC- im avoiding spoilers online... I have a nice level 98 char for it. But it'll have to wait.

Not certain it is the golden age, but it is not so bad as many whinge about either. Both RDR2 and 2077 were hot messes on release. RDR2 had problems even launching the game on PC. Now they have evolved into 2 of the best regarded games of the last decade.

I am playing Toca Life World via emulator now a days. First my kids used to play that game , then playing with them for few weeks, latter on I have installed that game on my pc and my kids are like Mom what is this?

Thanks but I guess that's a flaw in the gameplay where they created an unfair scenario in which the player is bombarded from all sides IN AIR. I got that far in the game (when the city atmosphere turns dark and there's gangs and street violence everywhere). If that particular point in the game gave me a headache, it's more on the developers making the "multiple bosses fight" disproportionately hard compared to every other challenge that came before that. I'll probably never revisit it or just use some trainer on the PC version. Ain't getting no tangible reward for beating those bosses

Finally gave in and bought Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth even though they hid NG+ behind a $15 paywall (no thanks). Got it on console on disc so I can sell the game after I play it since it's a rental anyways with no NG+. Pretty great so far, Ichiban finally scoring a date with Saeko and then blowing it in the worst way imaginable had me dying in laughter. Love Dragon Quest and love the Like a Dragon/Yakuza universe so this turn based series starring Ichiban is amazing.

Only Yakuza Like a Dragon and Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth are turn based RPGs. The rest of the series is beat 'em ups.

I have been getting into Once Human the last few days. Been fun so far, but I am not sure what I will do when they do the wipes. That has me kinda worried. The game is kinda complicated though, lots of different aspects to progression, so I am sure there is a lot I don't understand yet.

I've been meaning to try Once Human, looks fun but yeah the 6 week resets seem a bit fast.

I tried the Throne and Libery open beta recently. Korean MMO, pretty looking but combat is kind of lackluster. Controls like WoW if you want. Free to play I think but looks like it will have a lot of real money sinks.
