Hi.
Everyonce in a while, you play a game through, and even after you`ve finished the game, you remember a particular point or level in the game that just stands out for you. That you find hugely enjoyable for a multitude of reasons.
What i want you to do is list them. And reasons as well if you want.

POST AWAY!!!

-----------------------------------------

Here are mine.

Unreal 2 : The Awakening.
The 2nd planet, the abandoned laboratory level in the snowy mountains.
To me it was just so atmospharic and amazing. Hard to put into exact worlds.

Star Trek : Elite Force 2
The boarding of the USS Dallas.
Similar to the above, with it being abandoned. It just had that sence that something was`nt right, until you finally see your foe...

Splinter Cell (PC).
The 1st Chinese Embassy Mission.
The whole of that level is awsome. A true test of steath abilitys, and at times very very tense.

Call Of Duty.
The Battle Of Stalingrad missions.
Those missions were amazing, it just felt like i was there, its like being in Enemy At The Gates, with you as the sniper dude out of it.

The Legend Of Zelda : The Wind Waker.
When you first get a boat, map and the Wind Waker.
I am amazed that a world/ocean can be that big, and you can go on all the isles, and theres something on each, with no load points (obviously it loads in the background). The sence of scale is amazing.

Grand Theft Auto : Vice City & "3".
Both games, when first playing them, give you a feel of obscurity in these huge bustling citys, and as you progress through the game, you feel bigger and more importent, to the point where you`ve completed it and you feel like you own the place!.

Deus Ex 2 : Invisible War
The Black Gate Laboritory.
The feel of it was pure Deus Ex. Breaking into a very high tech facility, slowly killing off everything thats there to reach you objective.

Getting the Zelda Bonus disk and playing the NES version of The Legend of Zelda for the first time in about 15 years.

It was kinda strange how much you can remember even after all that time.

Look, no-one likes show offs! 🙂
I tryed for ages to get that without buying a new cube, and by the time Nintendo had it on their VIP wesbite, it`d sold out! I do have the original bonus disk though, the ones with OOT & Master Quest on it.

Recent memory? Uhhh... Well.... Nothing, really. DX2's sound track was too lacking for me to really become immersed, and no other story since the original Deus Ex has been as immersive - and that's hardly recent.

flying the Me-262 online against an American P-51 Mustang, maneuvering to gain the advantage for a good 15 minutes, and finally, as if through some unspoken agreement, we do a head on pass (a head on pass in a 262 is a guaruntee of an engine fire, a head on pass in a P-51 is a guaruntee of an "engine inoperable," but that was the only way either of us was going to get our gunsights on the other, so we did it anyway).

So we start the pass, he starts fireing before I do because his Brownings outrange my Mk. 108's . . . my right engine goes up in flames, then I start fireing. I see several 30mm shells detonate on his nose cone, he's toast, but my engine is burning. I realize that we are on a collision course so I violently pull up. I see my cockpit shudder as an impact takes place, I'm almost certain that a large peice of my aircraft is missing, but I bring it under control. I'm looking around from my cockpit to try and see where I hit the mustang . . and I notice my right engine is no longer attached to my wing! I limp back to base and land on one engine. heh, two problems solved with one collision! I opened a chat with the mustang pilot, he said that my engine had hit his plane right in the cockpit. haha!

Go buy the game, it rocks.

I did a huge jump in Vice City on a motorcycle at the airport, the second I hit the ramp it started on fire, so there was this awsome panning around me with the flames coming off the back. Plus I survived!
