Just read an article about how hot dog sales are declining and a few explanations are offered. The one that stands out to me is price. I don't know what many of you are seeing at grocery stores, but any decent 16 oz package of hot dogs goes from $4 to $6. I find myself thinking "why the hell should I spend that much on garbage meat ground up and shoved into a casing when I can get top sirloin for $5 or $6 a pound?"
This year we're going to get some baby back ribs and slow cook them in the smoker then make a baked potato bake and cut up some strawberries to go with it, then wash it all down with copious amounts of beer.
How about you? What's going on your grill or in your smoker for the 4th?
