It's like drinking BBQ.

Chicago's Wild Blossom Meadery wild berry mead. Drinks like koolaid and packs a killer punch. I think they put 12% on the bottle just so they can sell it, I'm gonna say somewhere around 15-16%. YUMMY!

The wife grabbed a big bottle of Carlo Rossi Sangria and I dumped that, a can of Sprite and chopped up some oranges, lemons and limes in a pitcher.

At least I got her to stop buying overpriced Yago long ago.

About the only alcohol she drinks these days, with food on the weekends, I could get a bottle of brandy to add some to it, but she isn't a drinker really.

Good stuff. Reminds me of a Fuzzy navel wine cooler

I vote for a John Connor ban, just for that post.

Next thing you know, he'll be drinking coffee additive again.

But we have a lot of clueless people still posting crap here lately I guess.

Been hitting the jack and coke like a pubescent teenager again, John ?

Nothing says white trash like cheap whisky.

Old crow isn't bad. It's just Beam that isn't as old. But, since it is Straight Bourbon, it's aged at least 2 years.

And:
Besides Blackburn, many American politicians have declared their love for Old Crow. It has been said that it was the drink of choice for American general and later 18th President of the United States, Ulysses S. Grant.[4] An apocryphal story about Grant's drinking has the general's critics going to President Abraham Lincoln, charging the military man with being a drunk. Lincoln is supposed to have replied, "By the way, gentlemen, can either of you tell me where General Grant procures his whiskey? Because, if I can find out, I will send every general in the field a barrel of it!"

You're in good company 🙂

There's no reason to put bourbon "better" than old crowe in a mixed drink. You're doing it right.

Can we get ruling on what counts as a mixed drink? Are old fashioned(s) and Manhattans mixed drinks? Technically they aren't straight, but the amount of mixers are small. Particularly in the old fashioned.

Those are cocktails. Mixed drink = alcohol + soda/juice/seltzer + optional lime garnish

Good alcohol is necessary for a good cocktail, but a waste for a mixed drink.
