Had a Killer Burger Bloodshed Red beer with my lunch(God,their burgers & beer are tasty..)

Then followed that up with a couple of bottles of Laurelwood Free Range Red at home.

Got a Strongbow left over from Thanksgiving chilling in the fridge. Forgot to phone my Scottish Granny this week so I think I'm going to need it.

I might buy some mead tonight. Never had it and my cousin says it's good, so why not. Hope I don't waist my money.

Mead has a similar flavour profile as wine and hard cider. I'd suggest looking for a dry variety, as some can be sickly sweet. That's not proper mead IMO.

Unfortunately mead is really hard to find here in Ontario. I only know of two places that make it. One of which is just terrible.

Thanks for the suggestions. Yeah, never had it. I do like Angry Orchard so perhaps the sweetness won't bother me for a drink like that. IDK.

We have a really nice liquor store down the street that sells all kinds of stuff and has racks upon racks of wine.

I'm drinking an apple pie.
Over ice, 1 shot Crown Royal apple, 1/2 shot of fireball whisky, topped off with A/W cream soda.

Try looking for a semi-dry or medium then.

Here's the bottle I've got. The Mead Royal variety, but of an older vintage.

They have their own Apiary on site.

To buy decent mead here, you pretty much have to go to the winery that makes it. It rarely shows up in the liquor store.
