Sometimes its hard to work the weekends especially when you know your family is at home enjoying a day off. You gotta do it for them though. Commitment sucks but you made one to them so you have to provide.

I spent my Saturday working just like you did. I will be there tomorrow too just like you will be. A retail setting like my job dictates that you always work weekends.
Finish up your schooling and work your way up the ladder so maybe one day you will get the weekends off. Then you can come and talk too me. I'll talk you into buying a Strawberry Vanilla Hydrangea. Then I'll sell ya a couple yards of mulch for your flower beds.;)

Jokes on you. By the time we get to that point I will have realized that gardening = more weekend work, and I'll be able to resist the temptation!...Or get one because my wife wants it.

Also, there are a lot of gardeners that came out of the woodwork with this thread

I'm propping up 70% of the American economy.

Did laundry, went to the dollar store, and did dishes. Marching steadily towards death.

posts like these keep me coming back :)

I rehabbed my ACL and did a hour in the pool. I then cooked eggs benedict for the family before taking kids to Gymnastics and then off to soccer. Hung out at the house rest of the day and made fish and chips for dinner.

Just put the kids to bed and poured a much deserved scotch.

I don't do any outside work on weekends. If it's gonna get done, it happens during the week when I'm already dirty and sweaty.

I'm not a gardener. I sell the plants to gardeners so I can make a living. In the industry I'm called a grower/retailer. Although I have too admit I do enjoy planting the occasional hosta in my blue and gold themed hosta bed.

Exactly. She'll want that flower bed mulched to.:)

I just got done eating a brownie fudge sunday.

I'm working at a small company trying to be a part of the huge growth. It's hard because the machine is already well oiled but I'm the owner's go to guy.

Long term I want to make it to AZ. I'm hoping I can get a couple of our side businesses moved down there after I get lil rudeguy all moved out and independent. I'm not going to lie though, this is by far the hardest part of parenting yet. He's my lil buddy and I am having trouble letting him grow.

Oh..and I'll also poop later on tonight at some point.

My doctors decided that it was time for me to retire...so we're living the "easy life." Of course, being medically retired, the money isn't as good...so it's not quite as "easy" as we'd like...but we're getting by comfortably.

When I woke up today my horoscope read:

I guess I now know the answer. Damn you Pisces.

I have no idea, but mine probably said "you will be disappointed." The park isn't as sprawling as 70 acres would imply, though it's still nice. Today I also caught up on a webcomic that has been updating for about a month. I blew through that in an hour or two. It was nice too, but I want MOAR.

I'm reading some books, forums, watching videos.

Learning about quantum entanglement, and the human mind (separate subjects, not in relation to each other).

Just finished an all-nighter and I'm about to go into the office to work some more, and the damned project will probably end up being canceled, and I have two more I have to work on this weekend. Damn it, I was promised a heart attack by now!

As to what I SHOULD be doing, well, Riverbend Music Festival is going on right now and as I was leaving, holy crap, the legs! Some of those legs, well, I am fairly sure that it is an actual felony that they have never spent an hour or three wrapped around my neck. Of course, my wife may disagree and she has the final say . . .

Will you be making those grossly unneeded sex noises that tennis people make when hitting the ball?
