Dude, it's today.

I put up pintos yesterday, today made cream of mushroom soup and presently am cooking brown rice. All in my Instant Pot (love love love my IP). Takes 90% of the work out of cooking. Keeps the humidity down in my house (have been rocking a dehumidifier for a few months now) and turns itself off, it's one of my favorite robots.

We had the day off, and we had sausages and barbecue pork and a green salad with a sweet mustard dill dressing.

We were supposed to have spareribs, but I had forgotten them outside in my cargo bike for a couple of days, so no Bueno....

I made Japanese style potato salad. Kewpie Mayo, Japanese salted rinsed and squeezed cucumber carrots, red onion, Marukan rice vinegar, black pepper , a dash of mustard powder, and, of course, potatoes crumbled with a fork. I had that and cherries hand picked hours before.

Our flag day for veterans is September 5th here in Denmark.

We have Armed Forces Day on the 3rd Saturday in May for those still in uniform.

We have Veterans Day in Nov, for those who hung up their uniform.

And Memorial Day on the last Monday in May, for those who never made it out of their uniform.
