Hi Redwingsguy. Well, considering that a BMW M3 (the latest model) has about 333 HP, I realy don't think it stands a chance against anything with 3-times as much horsepower. BMW M3s are not the definitive sports car, there are many that meet and exceed it's performance.

hell, at that much HP, i'm guessing it's only good for street races. a quarter mile time wouldn't be that great, since the supra would be spinning it's wheels half of the time trying to get off the line. but anyways, they still make supras?

Whats cheap?? I would think a lot of work would have to go into one to get that much power out of one.

And at that point how streetable is it? The last road test on a Street legal car put Lingenfelters new vette ontop as the fastest Legal car in the US and it made it just over 230mph.

Turbo's cause an extreme amount of heat how long until all the rubber under the hood is being replaced on these guys cars?

It takes a LOT of money to make a car put out 1000 HP, regardless of the model. And you can't really compare them since the Supra is used the the m3 is new and in high demand.

M3? I LOVE M3's, but dollar for dollar a MKIV Supra would ream an M3.
