What are the worst things Trump could do before leaving office.

It's been almost all bad since he lost the election. He still has the powers of the Presidency. List some things we should look out for. I'm started this because I had a sickening thought.

What if before going out Trump pardons Dylann Roof. He was sentenced to death for a federal hate crime. In case you forgot who he is...
Dylann Roof appeals conviction, death sentence in Charleston massacre - CBS News

I can see Trump threatening Republicans with this if they don't cede to his demands on the way out. I can also see him doing this as a giant "fuck you" to black people and supporters of civil rights. It would be the greatest bear hug to white nationalists he could give. Past actions have shown he is more then capable of this.

Remembers some powers are still absolute even during lame duck period

There's all sorts of crap he could pull, I guess. I think your example is on the right lines - seems far more likely it will be a horrible use of the pardon power or something vile but specific like that, rather than something truly disastrous like starting a war with Iran.

Mainly I think one should worry about the contents of the Whitehouse. Tell me they take a thorough inventory before a new tenant moves in, like any other landlord does, right?

Really you lot need to shorten the transition period. Why leave the loser with so much power for such a long period of time? One day someone will do something truly crazy with that power. Seems to me the system was designed for an era when the main mode of transport was horses and it took a very long time for everyone to cross the country to reach Washington. You have airplane travel now, maybe the system should take that into account?

He could pull a Bush I and invade some far off land and leave the mess to Biden.

Apparently Trump invited some proud boys, including their leader, to the white house today. The leader is posting photos on Parker from the white house steps
If he has ANY chance at lighting up this bonfire, he will do it.

Well what I think he will do is whatever it takes to keep his cult following from straying. If he gets to do that, it'll be like he never left office, of which I think is about the worst thing he could do.

And it seems the Theme Song that Trump's base should be singing every time he walks on stage for one of his post-presidency rallies is "True Colors". Of course Lauper is going to sue, but that never stopped Trump before, it's like him getting a parking ticket in front of his tower. He'll take it to his stacked Supreme Court to get it fixed.

Not sure he'd do this, but could. He could pardon all white collar criminals and do a blanket pardon for all tax fraud. Or blanket pardon for all Republicans.

Starting a conflict rates high up there. Short of that, signaling approval for someone else to start a conflict. Looking at you Israel.
